Progress

Things are coming together, finally. I talked to my mom on Monday, and she told me that she received an official, non provisional, acceptance letter from USF. That means that I am officially a student at my dream school - without conditions or exceptions - I'm a USF student!

Even more exciting than that, I have an interview today! I'm writing this post in the wee hours of the morning, but I have an interview this afternoon with the manager at Staples at one o'clock. The best part is, at those kinds of stores they usually offer you a job if you show up for the interview on time, and the store is maybe five minutes from my apartment. Now that is awesome!
Chris and I also bought a desk and dresser over the weekend, and we're possibly buying a bed tomorrow, so now we don't just have an apartment, we have furniture.

I'm driving up to Tennessee this Sunday to spend the week visiting with family and friends. I have an aunt and uncle who are coming in from Texas so everyone is getting together for a "reunion." Then it's back to Tampa on the 14th and we move into the apartment on the 18th. I have orientation for school on the 23rd and then I'm free to sail and work for the rest of my "summer."

That's all I have right now from this progressive vagabond, but I'm not complaining, it's more than I had last month. Have a good fourth of July and do something fun for me - I have no money. If you're in Nashville, enjoy the PPYC dock party for me tonight, and send my best regards to my fellow sailors. Happy fourth! Have some rum for me.
